St. Paul's Episcopal Church
An Accepting, Reconciling, and Outreaching Community of Faith

Acolytes assist during the service by being a torchbearer, a crucifer, or a first server.  Young people (3rd grade and up) as well as adults are welcome to serve.  Contact Doug Jenisch.

The Adult Choir assists the congregation in music at the 10:00 am liturgy and sings an anthem.  Rehearsals are held at 9:00 am on Sundays and at additional times to prepare for Christmas and Easter.  Contact Dan Weiser, Director of Music.

The Soul Singers (the Youth and Children's Choir) is newly reorganized. It presently rehearses on Sunday mornings for 10-15 minutes after church and once a month during the service (when there is no Sunday School).  Contact Chris Kelly.

There are several additional ways to assist in Sunday morning worship.  Readers are trained to read the Holy Scriptures during worship.  Others lead the Psalm and Prayers of the People.  Chalice Bearers assist in administering the consecrated wine during communion.  Contact Leslie Black.

Host families: Each Sunday a family or individual welcomes and distributes bulletins to the congregation. They carry the Eucharistic elements to the altar and take up the collection.  Contact Leslie Black.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers: are trained lay members who bring communion to those who are home-bound or hospitalized, thereby maintaining a relationship with members who are unable to be with us every Sunday.  Contact Dorothy Pillsbury.

The Healing Team offers prayers for healing and laying-on-of-hands during communion each week. Members sign up for a month at a time and work in pairs.  Contact Marge Brennan.

St. Mary's Altar Guild prepares the altar for each worship service.  Members work in pairs and for a month at a time, doing this twice a year.  All members help with Christmas, Holy Week and Easter services.  The ministry of the Altar Guild includes cleaning and polishing the silver and brass as well as cleaning all the linens used during the services.   Twice a year, all get together for meetings and social gatherings.    Contact Lynda Boehm.
